Care tender writing in the East of England

The East of England is dominated by large county councils, and they buy care at scale. Essex County Council is one of the biggest adult social care commissioners in England, and Norfolk, Suffolk, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire all run substantial home care and supported living frameworks. Much of the region is rural, with market towns and coastal communities in Norfolk and Suffolk where recruitment and travel affect both pricing and scoring, while Hertfordshire and parts of Essex feel the pull of the London labour market.

Several integrated care boards cover the region and increasingly drive joint commissioning for continuing healthcare, discharge and learning disability services. The same service can sit under a county framework in one area and an ICB pooled budget in another.
